Jaylynn Henry
Jaylynn believes that fostering a supportive and non-judgemental environment creates space for success and ensures that clients feel comfortable and connected. She embodies the ideals of both Humanistic and Holistic approaches to counselling, which means she takes a client’s whole picture into account (lifestyle, culture, gender, relationships, etc.) while also maintaining unconditional positive regard in the counselling space.
Jaylynn uses interventions from Adlerian psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness approaches, and Solution Focused Therapy to help her clients. Jaylynn works with couples as well as individuals, and the space she creates is safe for those seeking sex therapy. LGBTQIA+ and kink community folks are welcome.

Jennifer Lee RCC, CCC
I offer a unique approach to counselling that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. In addition to creating a safe space for conversations, I integrate actionable psycho-education on 10-15 foundational topics that are universally applicable. My ultimate goal as a therapist is not to keep you in therapy indefinitely but to empower you with tools, strategies, and skills to navigate future challenges independently once you’ve “graduated” from therapy.
I see my role as a temporary guide. Our work together will equip you with practical knowledge and coping mechanisms. These insights and skills will allow you to confidently and successfully address future challenges on your own. If you’re seeking a therapist with a dynamic approach that combines traditional methods with actionable psycho-education, I may be a great fit for you.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2012 in Psychology at the University of British Columbia, and earned my Master’s degree in 2015 from East Tennessee State University in Counselling Psychology with a specialization in Couples and Family Counselling, focusing on Adlerian therapy. While Adlerian therapy remains my primary modality, I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from methods like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Culturally Sensitive Therapy, the Gottman Method, Trauma-focused approaches, and pre-marital counselling among others. This flexibility allows me to tailor my methods to each client’s unique needs. Therapy is a constantly evolving field, and I’m committed to ongoing learning. Every year, I pursue additional courses and certifications to stay current with new developments and best practices.
Over the years, I’ve provided individual therapy, couples therapy, and a harm-reduction approach (non-abstinence) to alcohol use. I also take pride in my role as a multicultural counsellor. I am deeply committed to creating a nonjudgmental, safe, and understanding space for those navigating cultural stigmas around seeking therapy. It’s incredibly fulfilling to support individuals who may feel apprehensive about counselling and to help them overcome these barriers.
Some examples of issues I can support you with include depression, anxiety, work stress, difficulty maintaining social relationships, identity exploration and development, challenges in romantic partnerships, family dynamics, and more.
If my approach resonates with you, I encourage you to skip the consultation and book a full session. However, if you have questions or would like to meet me first, a 20-minute consultation is a great way to connect and discuss your needs. For counselling related to alcohol use, I recommend booking a consultation to ensure my approach aligns with your goals and needs.
